Talk:Jim Campanis
I don't see any Jim Campanis Jr. at the rosters here - http://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/1988_Olympics_%28Rosters%29#United_States - --Mischa 21:54, 12 February 2007 (EST)
Not that he was an olympian, but I do remember a Sports Illustrated article showing minor leaguers who were racing to be the first 3rd generation major leaguer. Campanis was one of them. --Jeff 21:58, 12 February 2007 (EST)
Seattle drafted him in the 3rd round in 1988 out of USC --Jeff 22:00, 12 February 2007 (EST)
Campanis was on the Team USA roster during the summer, but did not go to the Olympics. He hit .85 in 26 AB (pg. 256 1989 Almanac) --Jeff 22:11, 12 February 2007 (EST)
