Talk:Derek Jeter

From BR Bullpen

I added Bob Sheppard's introduction of Derek Jeter. I placed it at the end of page, as I didn't really know where else to stick it. Feel free to move.- Yuriy 43

Someone has changed Derek's weight from 175 to 195 and it was anonymous so is it vandalismz? - dbrewer18tx 0:41 CST, 28 Jan. 2007

The 2007 Almanac has him listed at 195, so I'm gonna leave it. --Jeff 10:58, 28 January 2007 (EST) --

Should we protect this page? People keep editing out anything that tarnishes the reputation of St. Derek the Flawless and All-Loved Superman and adding in all kinds of hyperbole. Even if the current poster gives up, St. Derek like St. Cal of Ripken is the kind of media idol whose page will likely be bombarded by this nonsense over the years. The current page is pretty good and balanced and can be updated over time by admin. What do others think? - --Mischa 20:31, 26 Apr 2006 (EDT)

So as of tonight, the last remaining Yankee single digit will be retired... --Jeff (talk) 22:49, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Avid Yankee Fan[edit]

My brother just passed away this week, and his funeral services will be held Sunday and Monday. I just wanted to let Derek Jeter know that my brother was a real big fan of his, and of course the New York Yankees. His last request was to be buried in Yankee attire with Derek Jeters Jersey. My whole family has followed the Yankees for over 60 years. I'm hoping that this note will be read by Derek, and or anyone from the Yankee Organization. I can be reached at Rflorioi@aol.com.

Sincerely,

Ralph Florio
