I thought it quite relevant that Mathews was a big star in high school ball at the same time as Kehn was managing the only pro team in a fairly small town. The two must have known about each other but apparently didn't manage to join up. - Randy 22:50, 29 March 2010 (EDT)

Hate to pile on, but a high schooler and a pro manager that just happen to be in the same town aren't really relevant to each other. I doubt the manager of the Modesto Nuts is able to keep track of the star player at Modesto High. --Jeff 03:00, 30 March 2010 (EDT)

I deleted it. I still think you guys are wrong - probably because I've been doing all those 19th Century guys who grew up in Syracuse or Akron and then played in Syracuse or Akron. There was a time when that was pretty much a given. - Randy 22:41, 30 March 2010 (EDT)
