Talk:2004 World Junior Championship
So if you get picked out of high school, you can wind up in the majors within four years like Justin Upton or tear up AAA like Andrew McCutchen. But if you opt for college and remain a top prospect like Buster Posey or Ike Davis, you'll likely be in A ball in four years when you turn pro. Does that make sense to anyone? - --Mischa 19:40, 11 June 2008 (EDT)
I have a sense that all other things being equal, college only changes when you make the majors slightly. Unless you're really ahead the curve like a Griffey or Upton. Some of these college guys are still making the majors at 22. Chad Cordero made his ML debut at 21, but he went to college. Bob Geren signed out of high school and made it at 26. --Jeff 22:38, 11 June 2008 (EDT)
