Biographical Information[edit]
Takuya Fujishima has been an outfielder for JR Kyushu in the industrial leagues and has played for the Japanese national team several times.
Fujishima played in the 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week. He was named to the industrial league Best Nine in 2010 as one of the top three outfielders in the league. He next donned the Japanese uniform in the 2012 Asian Championship, when he hit .333/.412/.533 with 4 runs and 3 RBI as Japan's regular leadoff man. His team won it all. In the 2014 Asian Games, he was Japan's starting center fielder and excelled, hitting .571/.647/1.071 with 3 triples, 2 runs and five RBI in four games as Japan won the Bronze. He had more triples than the Mongolian national team had hits and he had more hits than either Mongolia or Thailand. He led the event in triples and tied Pin-Chieh Chen for the hit lead.
Fujishima was Japan's leadoff man and right fielder in the 2015 Asian Championship, hitting .235/.350/.235 with 3 runs and one RBI while having four putouts and one assist.
