Biographical Information[edit]
Takeshi Yamada pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Yamada represented Japan in the 1985 Asian Championship. The Yomiuri Giants signed him in 1986.[1]Yamada allowed 9 runs in 13 2/3 innings pitched in his rookie year, and spent the next three years in the NPB Farm Leagues. In 1990, Yamada was traded with Masaharu Motohara to the Daiei Hawks for cash(1 million Yen). He only pitched 36 innings with a 4.50 ERA in the 1990 season, and announced his retirement in the same year. [2]
Overall, Tanabe was 0-1 with a 4.89 ERA and pitched 49 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
