Biographical Information

Takehiro Donoue is the son of Terashi Donoue and brother of Naomichi Donoue.

Donoue hit 46 home runs in high school. He was picked in the sixth round of the 2003 NPB draft by the Chunichi Dragons. He was 0 for 1 in his Central League debut in 2005. He hit .286/.329/.416 in 37 games as a backup outfielder for the Dragons in 2007. He was 0 for 2 with a strikeout in the 2007 Japan Series. When he appeared in his first Japan Series game, it was the first time a father and son had both played in a Series.

Donoue was 0 for 2 with a walk and a run in 2008 and 2 for 13 in 2009. When Naomichi hit his first Nippon Pro Baseball homer, it was the first time two brothers and a father had all homered in NPB.
