Biographical Information

Takashi Sasagawa played in the CPBL and NPB.

Sasagawa was drafted by the Daiei Hawks in the 6th round of the 1997 NPB draft, but he was placed in the NPB Farm Leagues for his first five seasons. He was part of the first Taiwan-Japanese trade, being sent to the Chinatrust Whales after the 2002 season for Wen-Bin Chen. Sasagawa only played 8 games with a 3-for-20 record in 2003, and he returned to Japan. He was 3-for-15 in 2004, and he announced his retirement after the 2005 season. Sasagawa became a scout for the Hawks after retiring.

Overall, Sasagawa hit .235/.278/.235 with 4 hits in 2 seasons in the NPB.
