Biographical Information[edit]
Tae-gun Kim has caught in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Kim was picked by the LG Twins in the third rond of the 2008 KBO draft. He was 1 for 3 in 2008 then hit .250/.270/.287 in 2009, .255/.296/.275 in 51 AB over 54 G in 2010, .234/.294/.234 in 47 AB (38 G) in 2011. In 2012, he batted .201/.265/.215 in 149 AB over 100 games.
Moving to the expansion NC Dinos, he hit .213/.280/.274 in 2013 and hit his first career home run. In 2014, he batted .262/.297/.306, followed by .254/.307/.354 in 2015 and .232/.293/.285 in 2016. He made the South Korean national team for the 2017 World Baseball Classic, presumably backing up Eui-ji Yang.
