Biographical Information[edit]
Sung-hun Park is a pitcher who debuted with the Samsung Lions in 2005, with a WHIP of 2.20 but only a 4.61 ERA in 22 games as a LOOGY (13 2/3 IP). He did not pitch in 2006-2007. In 2008, Park allowed two runs in two innings for Samsung. He was then traded with $2.1 million to the cash-strapped Woori Heroes for star hurler Won-sam Jang. As Woori had agreed not to trade players for cash in their first five seasons and the clear lack of equal player value, it was the first trade ever revoked in the history of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Park had a 5.17 ERA and no decisions in 20 games in 2009. He was then traded with Sang-soo Kim and cash to the Heroes for Jang; this time, the KBO approved the deal.
