Biographical Information[edit]
Sun-myung Jung pitched for the South Korean national team in the 1980 Amateur World Series. The MBC Blue Dragons signed him when they were founded in 1982, and he was 7-5 with a 4.47 ERA. He had a 3.62 ERA in 13 games in 1983, but he slumped to 0-3 with a 7.15 ERA in 1984. Jung struggled again as his ERA was 6.00 in 7 games in 1985, then he announced his retirement. He later became the pitching coach of the LG Twins from 1990 to 1991 and the Samsung Lions in 1996. He also managed Samsung's minor league team in 1997.
Overall, Jung was 11-15 with a 4.66 ERA, struck out 78 and pitched 193 innings in 4 seasons in the KBO.
