Biographical Information[edit]

Stryker Trahan was a 2012 first-round pick.

Trahan was taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 26th round of the 2012 amateur draft. He was the first high school catcher taken that year and the second overall backstop, following Mike Zunino at #3 overall. Scouted by Rusty Pendergrass, he soon signed for a reported $1.7 million bonus. He made his pro debut for the AZL Diamondbacks on June 21st, hitting cleanup. He went 1 for 3 with a walk in a 4-2 win over the AZL Giants, but had a passed ball and allowed 6 steals without throwing out a runner.
