Biographical Information[edit]
Stoney McGlynn pitched three years for the St. Louis Cardinals. He led the league in losses in 1907, although his 2.91 ERA that year was not a lot worse than the league ERA of 2.46.
McGlynn made his major league debut at age 34. He had played amateur ball as early as 1895 and pro ball as early as 1901. He played in the minors through 1915, winning 30+ games twice and 20+ games three other times.

- Led 1906 Tri-State League with 36 W, 206 SO, and 412 IP (also pitched 6 games in Pennsylvania-Ohio-Maryland League, for a cumulative 41-11 record)
- Led 1907 National League with 25 L, 112 BB, and 352 IP
- Led 1909 American Association with 27 W, 183 SO, 446 IP, and 21 L
- Led 1910 American Association with 166 SO, 392 IP, and 129 BB
