Steven Smith (Great Britain)
Steven Smith was a middle infielder and outfielder for the British national team from 1988-1991. He played in the 1988 European Championship B-Pool. In the 1989 European Championship, Britain's first European Championship in 18 years, he was 2 for 21 with a run. He was much better in the 1991 European Championship, hitting .313 with 7 runs and 4 steals in 7 games. He led the last-place team in runs (4 more than Alan Bloomfield and Gary Sewell) and was third in steals. Confusingly, he was one of three Smiths on the team, one of whom was nearly-identically-named Stephen Smith.
