Biographical Information[edit]
Steve Vrablik was a long-time scout. His brother John Vrablik played in the minors.
Steve debuted in 1941 with the Lubbock Hubbers, going 10-12 with a 4.62 ERA, tying for 10th in the West Texas-New Mexico League in losses. He split 1942 between Lubbock (0-4, 11.88, 47 H in 25 IP) and the Janesville Cubs (2-4, 5.58) to end his pro career at 12-20, 5.49.
Vrablik later scouted for the Chicago White Sox (1959?-1978) and Seattle Mariners (1980- )for over 40 years. He signed Phil Bradley.
