Biographical Information[edit]
Steve Trimper is a college coach.
Trimper played for Eastern Connecticut State when they won the 1990 Division III College World Series. He began his coaching career as associate head coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1992-1994. He was assistant coach at the University of Vermont from 1994-1998, earning his master's degree while there.
Steve became head coach at Manhattan College from 1999 through 2005, going 172-174-2. In 2002, he set a school record with 32 wins and was named MAAC Coach of the Year.
Trimper was named head coach at the University of Maine in 2005. He took his team to the America East Conference title his first year. He helped develop Curt Smith while at Maine. He went 309-292-2 through 2016 and won AEC Coach of the Year in 2013.
Trimper became the head coach at Stetson University for the 2017 season.
