Steve Sakosits became a head college coach prior to the 2011 season

Sakosits topped 150 strikeouts as a high school pitcher and hit over .400. He was both an outfielder and pitcher at Xavier. As a senior, he was second in the Atlantic-10 Conference with a 1.78 ERA. He finished 4th on Xavier's career list in saves. He was coach at Defiance College for two years, while earning his master's degree. He then was assistant coach at Earlham College in 2009-2010 before being promoted to head coach.
