Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Steve McNair was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 35th round of the 1991 amateur draft but did not sign with the club. McNair played 11 seasons as quarterback for the Tennessee Titans franchise and 2 seasons for the Baltimore Ravens. He was named the NFL MVP in 2003 and led the Titans to a Super Bowl appearance in 1999.

He was murdered by his mistress on Independence Day, 2009 in a murder-suicide.
