Biographical Information[edit]
The son of big league pitcher and long-time scout Jesse Flores, Steve Flores spent over 30 years as a scout.
Steve was picked by the Minnesota Twins in the 9th round of the 1974 amateur draft. He hit .295/.370/.418 for the 1974 Elizabethton Twins and had eight outfield assists in 46 games. A Steve Flores also pitched for the 1975 Pulaski Phillies; BR Minors lists them as the same person but the 2013 Rangers Media Guide only lists this Steve Flores as playing in the Twins chain.
Flores later scouted for the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers, signing Wes Littleton, Greg Mathews, Terry Pendleton and Todd Worrell among others.
