Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Steve Dreyer has the distinction of throwing the last pitch to the last batter Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan faced on September 22, 1993. With a 3-1 count on the Seattle Mariners' Dave Magadan, Ryan was forced to leave the game with elbow problems. Texas Rangers manager Kevin Kennedy called on Dreyer from the bullpen to finish Magadan's at-bat. Dreyer walked him and Nolan Ryan never pitched again after that. Ryan had walked 131 batters before Dreyer was born.
