Biographical Information[edit]

Stefan Wever pitched only one game in the majors, with the New York Yankees in September of 1982. At 6' 8", he was the tallest player in Yankees history at the time, but his debut turned out to be his only major league game, as he injured his shoulder in the game and was never able to come back.

As of 2022, is the only player in Major League history with a last name that starts with "Wev". There are currently no players in the minor leagues that have a chance of "threatening" this title any time soon.
