Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Stanley Glenn played for the Philadelphia Stars of the Negro Leagues from 1943 to 1950. He later played four seasons in the Boston Braves organization, spending parts of three summers with the Hartford Chiefs of the Eastern League.
In 2006, he authored his autobiography which was entitled Don't Let Anyone Take Your Joy Away: An Inside Look at Negro League Baseball and Its Legacy [1].
Glenn later became the president of the Negro League Baseball Players Association, a position which he held until his death.
