Biographical Information[edit]
Stan Hyman was a college coach.
Before becoming a coach, he was an agent, sportswriter and music columnist for Rolling Stone, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Boston Globe, Chicago Sun-Times and Dallas Morning News. He was 116-59-1 as head coach of Albright College from 1994-1998 then guided Rutgers University of Newark from 1999-2001. From 2002-2009, he was head coach of Western Illinois University, setting a school record with 32 wins in 2006. He died of leukemia.
