Biographical Information[edit]

Stan Fansler had five starts for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1986. Although he had a decent ERA of 3.75, he ended up with a record of 0-3. He was one of the youngest players in the National League at the time, at age 21, the same age as teammate Barry Bonds.

Fansler also pitched 11 seasons in the minors, primarily as a starter. In 1987 he went 12-7 with the AAA Vancouver Canadians.

He made one observer's All Stan Team.
