New Orleans-St. Louis Stars
(Redirected from St. Louis-New Orleans Stars)
In 1940 the former St. Louis Stars moved to New Orleans, LA for some of their games to try to revive its struggling finances. The team played independently from the Negro Leagues that year but in 1941 St. Louis-New Orleans Stars played effectively in the Negro American League. They finished third. They were managed by Hooks Mitchell. After dissolving for a year, they returned in 1943 with another home as the Harrisburg-St. Louis Stars, this time in the Negro National League.
