Biographical Information[edit]

Solomon Maguire has played in the minors and for the Australian national team.

Maguire represented Australia in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, driving in their only run against South Korea (though they later lost to the Koreans in the Bronze Medal Game). He hit .286/.306/.457 with a team-high 7 RBI in 9 games and played strong defense in the outfield (20 PO, 2 A, 0 E). [1] TPittsburgh Pirates signed him in 2020; the scout was Tony Harris. [2]

He hit .146/.288/.292 for the FCL Pirates Black in 2021, then he recorded a .217/.311/.278 batting line for the FCL Pirates in 2022. Maguire batted .238/.282/.313 in 26 games for the Sydney Blue Sox in the 2022-2023 ABL, and he represented his nation in the 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup, going 2-for-10 with a triple and 3 RBI. [3] He only played 3 games in the FCL in 2023, and he hit .230/.313/.319 in Sydney in 2023-2024.

Maguire crushed 6 homers with a .175/.287/.338 batting line for the Bradenton Marauders in 2024, and he played for Australia in the 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He batted .227/.320/.545 with 9 RBI in 7 games, going 3-for-3 in steals and again showing a good glove (11 PO, 2 A, 0 E). He tied for the event lead in both RBI and homers (2) and tied for 7th in swipes. [4] He then made it onto Australia's roster for the 2024 Premier 12.
