Biographical Information[edit]
Illinois native Snipe Hansen spent eleven years in professional baseball from 1927 through 1937. He spent parts of five seasons in the major leagues and never had a winning season with a 22-45 record. Snipe did go 10-10 for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1932 for his best showing.
His minor league record was somewhat better, winning 59 and losing 66 in parts of eight seasons. Snipe did have one winning season in the minor leagues, going 16-9 with the Fort Worth Panthers and the Dallas Steers of the Texas League in a split season affair in 1931.
Hansen left the game in 1937 at the age of 30.
