Skagway, AK

From BR Bullpen

Skagway is a historic small town on the southern coast of Alaska, located at the end of an inlet, 125 miles north of Juneau, AK and 15 miles south of the border of British Columbia. It sits at the foot of White Pass, the most direct route into the Klondike and as such was the main gateway into the Yukon during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush. It is now mainly a fishing port and tourist destination, particularly for cruise ship passengers. John Gillespie spent some time here.
