Simon Arrindell

Middle infielder Simon Arrindell was a member of the Dutch national team and was a star in the Dutch league. He played 12 seasons in the Hoofdklasse, with Sparta (1960-1969) and the Storks (1970-1971). He helped Sparta to five titles. He played 3 games for Sparta in 1977 as well. He won home run titles in 1964 (6) and 1966 (11) and led in RBI in 1962 (22) and 1964 (24). He led in runs in 1970 with 49, then a record (broken in 1983). With Sparta, he formed the "magnificent three" with Hamilton Richardson and Hudson John.
Arrindell played 43 games for the Dutch national squad, helping them win four European Championships -the 1960 European Championship, 1962 European Championship, 1964 European Championship and 1965 European Championship.
