Sicily is a large triangular island located at the southern end of Italy, in the Mediterranean Sea. It is separated from the Italian peninsula by the Strait of Messina. Major cities include Palermo, Messina and Catania. A significant number of Italian immigrants to the United States came from the island. It is listed as the birthplace of Nick Colosi.
