Biographical Information[edit]
Nick Colosi began his umpiring career in the Florida State League in 1962. He moved on to the South Atlantic League in 1963, Southern League 1964-1965, and International League 1966-1968. Colosi then was a National League umpire from September 1968 to 1982. He was an umpire in three NLCS, two World Series, and two All Star Games.
He suffered a heart attack while umpiring a game in 1979, which cost him most of that season, but he returned to work three more full seasons before retiring.
