Biographical Information[edit]
Shuzo Kayano joined the Utaka Red Sox of the Kyomin Baseball League in 1947, and he hit .403 to win the batting title. When the league collapsed, he signed with the Chunichi Dragons, and he hit .248/.275/.326 while leading the league with 18 caught stealing in 1948. That was his only season in the NPB. His brother Kenichi Kayano also played in the NPB.
