Biographical Information

Shu Okamura was born and raised in Japan; as his mother was Chinese, he was eligible to play for the Chinese national team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic. He got into one game, pinch-hitting for Fujia Chu in the last inning of a 7-inning, 12-0 mercy rule loss to Cuba. With two outs, he singled off Alexander Rodríguez.
