Biographical Information[edit]
Shiro Teramoto has played in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Teramoto was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the fourth round of the 1998 NPB draft. He spent nearly his entire career in the NPB Farm Leagues, and only had 25 appearances combined with the big club. The Tokushima native was originally a pitcher when being drafted, but he was turned into a position player in 2001 due to command problems. He also represented Japan in the 2002 Asian Games as an outfielder. Teramoto announced his retirement after the 2006 season.
Overall, Teramoto had hit .100/.100/.100 in 6 seasons in NPB. As a pitcher, he had a 4.70 ERA in 15 1/3 innings in 3 seasons.
