Shinzo Koizumi (小泉 信三)

Biographical Information

Shinzo Koizumi was the president of Keio University from 1933 to 1948. Despite the disbanding of the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League due to World War II, Koizumi hosted the "last game" between Keio and Waseda as a tribute to the baseball players serving in the military.

Koizumi was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976.
