Biographical Information[edit]
First baseman Shigeo Kojima played for Nagoya in Nippon Professional Baseball from 1936 to 1938. He slashed .238/.273/.238 in eight games during the 1936 fall season and in the 1937 spring season, he hit .251/.312/.345 (leading the team in slugging). His 11 doubles tied Shigeru Mizuhara for 7th in the Japanese Professional Baseball League. In the fall, he hit .215/.289/.326. He hit 10 doubles to tie Jimmy Horio, Mizuhara and Toshio Kurosawa for 6th in the JPBL. In the 1938 spring season, Kojima hit .075/.196/.075 in 16 games.
Overall, he batted .221/.290/.306 in 120 games.
