Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Sherten Apostel is the brother of Shendrik Apostel. He hit .304/.429/.478 as the third baseman for the Netherlands in the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup, fielding .778. He hit four doubles to tie Saul Favela, Baek-ho Kang and Hisanori Yasuda for the event lead.

He was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates as a 16-year-old in July of 2016. On August 17, 2018, he was traded to the Texas Rangers as the player to be named later with Taylor Hearn to complete the earlier deal for reliever Keone Kela. He made his major league debut with the Rangers in September of 2020.
