Biographical Information

Shawn Holman pitched only 5 games in the majors, with the Detroit Tigers in 1989, but he had a long minor league career from 1982 to 1996. His best season in the minors came with the Ottawa Lynx of the International League in 1994, when he was 2-4, 2.99 with 31 saves in 59 games as the team's closer. He probably would have received another shot at the big leagues that year with the parent Montreal Expos had the 1994 strike not abruptly ended the major league season.
