Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Shawn Dubin had a convoluted college baseball career. He attended Jamestown Community College for one year in 2013, where he played shortstop, then went home for a year without playing baseball. When he returned to Erie Community College in 2015, it was as a pitcher, and his success there got him an opportunity to transfer to the University at Buffalo. However, the school's baseball program was discontinued after the 2017 season, and he had to transfer again, this time to Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, from where he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 13th round of the 2018 amateur draft after going 9-1, 2.09 in his only season there and being named a NAIA first-team All-American.

He was signed by scout Travis Coleman.
