Shane Gnade played with Almere in the Eerste Klasse in 2008. In 2009, he came to the Hoofdklasse with the Konica Minolta Pioniers. He was 3-2 with a 3.04 ERA despite only 12 strikeouts in 47 1/3 IP. He was 16th in the league in ERA, just ahead of Dutch national team mainstay Patrick Beljaards. He gave up 7 runs in 4 1/3 IP in game one of the 2009 Holland Series, losing to DOOR Neptunus.
