Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Seung-ho Lee has played eight years in the Korea Baseball Organization as of 2007, with a 41-45 record through 2006. He led the league in strikeouts once.

Lee debuted in 1999 with the LG Twins, going 0-2 with a 12.13 ERA. He walked 8 in 10 2/3 IP and allowed 16 hits. He improved significantly in 2000, with a 6-6 record, 5 saves and a 3.20 ERA, allowing 50 hits in 64 2/3 IP. In 2001, he again struggled with 26 walks in 17 2/3 IP. He allowed 25 hits and fanned 18, getting no decisions and posting a 12.74 ERA.

Lee bounced back in 2002 with a 2-2 record, one save and a 4.11 ERA, allowing 35 hits in 46 IP. Moving into the regular rotation in 2003, Lee had a great year. His record was only 11-11, but he allowed 151 hits and struck out a Korea Baseball Organization-leading 157 batters in 191 2/3 IP, though he walked 112. Lee was second in the KBO in ERA, trailing only Shane Bowers.

In 2004, Seung-ho had another very good year (9-7, 2.71, 115 K in 129 2/3 IP) despite walking 75. Had he qualified, he would have been 4th in the KBO in ERA behind Myung-hwan Park, Gary Rath and Yong-soo Bae, but he was a few innings shy. Lee slipped in 2005 with a 5-10, 5.51 line, then in 2006 was 8-7 with a 4.46 ERA.
