Biographical Information[edit]

Sergio Cairo played in minor leagues and CPBL.

Cairo was signed by the Baltimore Orioles in 1989, and he hit .266/.313/.377 for the Bluefield Orioles. His batting line was .240/.297/.315 with the Wausau Timbers in 1990, and he hit .314/.405/.425 for the Frederick Keys in 1991. After hitting .281/.333/.347 with the Hagerstown Suns in 1992, Cairo went to the Chicago White Sox after the 1992 season. He only played 68 games with a .228/.329/.270 batting line for the Birmingham Barons, then he went to the Texas Rangers. Cairo's batting line was .369/.446/.541 in 34 games for the Port Charlotte Rangers in the rest of the season, and he hit .273/.333/.423 with Tulsa Drillers in 1994.

The Montreal Expos signed him in 1995, but Cairo only played 6 games for their system. He mainly stayed with the Leones de Yucatan in that season, then he signed with the Sinon Bulls of the CPBL. He crushed 10 homers with a .282/.342/.423 batting line in 1996, and he left Taiwan after that season. Cairo then played in the independent leagues for 7 years.
