Biographical Information[edit]

Sen-Yi Chou played in the CPBL and TML for 9 years.

Chou represented Taiwan in the 1993 World Youth Championship and 1996 World Junior Championship. The Uni-President Lions signed him in 1999, but he didn't get many chances with the big club that year. He hit .194/.322/.250 in his rookie year, and he only had 77 at-bats combined in the next two seasons. Chou jumped to the Kaoping Fala of the TML in 2001, and he hit .297/.379/.359 there. He then recorded a .223/.274/.289 batting line in 2002.

When the TML merged with the CPBL in 2003, Chou was assigned to the First Financial Holdings Agan. He had his career year in 2003, hitting .270/.314/.325 with a career-high 15 doubles. He was also selected into the 2003 CPBL All-Star Game, and he was 0-for-2. However, he slumped to .226/.283/.231 in 2004, and he only had 35 appearances combined with the big club in the next two seasons. The La New Bears (the Agan had changed their name) released him after the 2006 season, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Chou hit .245/.306/.288 with 260 hits and 34 doubles in 9 seasons in the CPBL and the TML.
