Selin Aquino
Biographical Information[edit]
Selin Aquino joined the Houston Astros organization as a coach for the DSL Astros Orange in 2016 and returned in that same role in 2017. From 2018-2021 the Astros only fielded one team in the Dominican Republic, the DSL Astros. Aquino coached in 2018-2019 and was scheduled to return in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season.
Aquino's role with the Astros may have shifted starting in 2021. He was not listed among their DSL coaches that year. In 2022, his title was "program support" rather than coach. When the Astros announced their 2023 minor league coaches, he was listed in the dual role of coach/support staff. Through these title changes, he probably had at least some coaching responsibilities each year.
