Seattle was represented by the Seattle Rainiers from 1919 to 1921, but changed names to the Seattle Indians in 1922. The 1924 team won the Pacific Coast League Championship, but the franchise was a second division club for most of the rest of its existence. In 1938 Seattle returned to the more familiar Rainiers moniker.
