Sean McDonough
Sean McDonough is a well known national sports broadcaster of baseball, basketball, football, golf and college sports. A graduate of Syracuse University he was the play-by-play announcer of the Boston Red Sox on TV38 from 1988 to 2004. At first was teamed with Bob Montgomery but shortly after with Jerry Remy. In the early 1990's became the lead baseball announcer for CBS called many post-season and World Series games at that time. The number of Red Sox games he called dwindled yearly as his commitments to national telecasts increased and as TV38 lost most of their games to NESN. In recent years TV38 only showed Friday Night games and so McDonough only did a handful of Red Sox games a year. Known for a somewhat sarcastic or bitter style.
Son of famous sports writer Will McDonough.
