Biographical Information[edit]
Scotty Ingerton is one of a select group that played just one season in the majors and yet had over 500 at-bats. Unlike some of the others in the group, Ingerton played all over the field, with no more than 58 games at any one position. In spite of that, he was (barely) the regular third baseman for the Boston Rustlers of 1911, beating out Ed McDonald who appeared in 53 games at the position.
