Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Meaney has been a scout.
Meaney was 6-0 with a 2.52 ERA as a college freshman despite 35 walks in 53 2/3 IP; he led UMass in both ERA and record. He fell to 5-5, 5.66 as a sophomore in 1991. In 1992, he had a 3-2, 3.78 record. He was team captain but did not pitch in 1993. He struggled in 1994 (3 H, 17 BB, 16 R in 2 1/3 innings). Overall, he had gone 14-7 with a 4.62 ERA in 42 games for UMass. He later was pitching coach for UMass, then scouted for the Cleveland Indians, signing Michael Aubrey.
