Biographical Information[edit]
Scott Gines has been a college coach and a school athletics administrator for over 40 years.
Gines began coaching as an assistant coach at University of Virginia from 1984 to 1987. He was then head coach at Radford University from 1988 to 1994. He then moved to Virginia Military Institute as head coach from 1995 to 2000.
Gines then moved into administration. He was athletics director at Dakota Wesleyan University from 2000-2004 and Fairmont State University from 2005-2007. He was then at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from 2007-2008 school year to 2018-2019 school year holding various roles including athletics director and vice president roles. Gines moved to Delaware State University as athletics director from 2018-2019 to 2020-2021. In 2024 he has served as interim vp of athletics for University of Indianapolis.
