Biographical Information[edit]
Schuyler Williamson was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 26th round of the 2005 MLB June Amateur Draft. He was signed by scout Mike Gambino. In 2004, he played for the Peninsula Pilots, and played one season (2005) in the New York-Penn League for the Oneonta Tigers. He hit .203/.288/.250 as a backup catcher.
Later joined the Army and was deployed to Iraq from October 19, 2006—January 7, 2008 where he led a "Hunter-Killer" platoon that contained two tanks and two Bradleys along with two dismounted squads of infantry.
